Wheeler Machinery Co. is seeking to hire a Nightshift Field Service Technician to perform equipment repairs in the Moab, UT location. (Lisbon Valley Mine) Full-time benefited position.
Will be responsible for performing accurate troubleshooting & diagnosing, timely repairs, and component installation on all models of Caterpillar equipment. This opening will require the technician to work in the field. Will work where they are needed at that time. Field Technicians will perform troubleshooting and repairs on all makes and models of Caterpillar equipment, to ensure proper factory specifications and correct system operation. This may include disassembly and assembly, diagnosis, testing, inspection and set up. Must be safe minded.
Duties & Responsibilities:
This is a nightshift position.
Utilize safe working habits in all aspects of the job.
Perform Field Service troubleshooting and repair work on all models of Caterpillar equipment.
Must be willing to work out of town, overtime and weekends as needed.
Maintain truck and company provided tooling and equipment.
Required Qualifications:
Have and maintain a clean MVR (no more than 1 moving violation under the age of 25, and no more than 2 if over the age of 25).
Good working knowledge of Caterpillar and other heavy construction equipment.
Demonstrated excellent work ethic with self-motivation, ability to work safe with minimal supervision on customer job sites, while maintaining dealership expectations of thoroughness and customer service.
Have the ability to keep up with new technology and advancements.
Must be able to obtain and maintain MSHA clearances.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must have some knowledge and experience repairing equipment but does not need to be a journeyman technician.
